Latham's snipe et al.

Hi all,

There's a pair of Latham's Snipes in the dirty leechate water next to the 
Soldiers Point Recycling Plant, near Nelson Bay, NSW. Seeing as this is a newly 
formed piece of man-made habitat, I cassume this is the first record of this 
species for this locality - although they are relatively common in the Hunter 
valley.

In other news, male Musk Ducks are doing their thing on Grahamstown Dam, along 
with Great Crested Grebes etc. Also hundreds of White-throated Needletails over 
Whoota Lookout in Wallingat National Park.
