G'day Anthea & other interested birders

There used to be a huge Grevillea robusta in Cooranbong (Inland from Lake Macquarie NSW) when I was studying there back in the 1960's and each year it would fill with Noisy Friarbirds that were refilling their fuel tanks during migration. They pretty well kept any other birds away.

Cheers

Qld Silky Oaks... we don't see any birds feeding on them, though the nectar is copious, and certainly palatable to humans.

The natural range of the Silky Oak is much further north than Melbourne, Queensland I believe.. We wonder if birds make use of them within their natural range.
