A hundred feet up, perhaps David. I'm not sure if there are any tree
species that reach 100 metres in Australia. There are a few like
Mountain ash and Karri etc that have individuals reaching 90+ metres,
but the chances of a nest hollow at 100 metres would seem to be zero.
In the case of fig trees, I don't know if I've seen any that would be
over 50 or 60 metres max. There would probably be plenty of nesting
opportunities ~ 30-40 metres perhaps.

Well said Lloyd!
I can't wait for the paper and to see more photos.
I too greatly admire his dedication and hard work.
Isn't it true that he also found out that Blue-faced parrot-finches
nest 100metres up in trees!?
Cheers
