As I pointed out on the Web Site, the bird was photogrpahed at Bowra Station
SWQ (This is 30 km north of Cunnammula and 800km or so in from the coast)..

A Cicadabird would be very unusual there, surely?

I think these studies are showing how incredibly inaccurate filed guides are
on small(?) details like rump color.

Hi Bill,

If you have access to HANZAB check out the painting of the juvenile
Cicadabird, Volume 7 Part A Plate 8 number 8 opposite page 257 and I think
that you will agree that this is the bird in the photo.
