Hi,

Just adding my comments to this thread.

 

I've also got the Canon Powershot S2 IS and I've found it to be excellent
for my bird photography.  I've got some wonderful bird images with it, the
zoom is fine for my needs and overall I've found the camera easy to use (and
the price was good too).
