G'day all,

Here is a route chart to the Dajarra Sewage Treatment Ponds
Dajarra is 151 road kms S of Mount Isa.

Although the ponds are fenced off, good views can be obtained from the
surrounding track.

Earlier this year a vagrant Blue-billed Duck was actively feeding up & down one
pond.
Simpson & Day territory map indicates they breed in this area !

0.0 kms: Zero odometer at the Dajarra Roadhouse/Service Station (ADF
) and head towards Mount Isa on main road
0.75 kms: Cross Carbine Creek
1.0 kms: Pass Cemetery on right
1.2 kms: Pass white cross on left
1.4 kms: Cross over grid then immediately turn left onto dirt track
1.85kms: Take left fork
2.0 kms: Sewage ponds. These are enclosed in a high mesh fence, but
good views of the ponds can be obtained from outside the fence.

Regards from
