Hi Chris
Sounds like an excellent morning's birding. I was hunting Ballions Crake at 
Sherwood Arboretum yesterday afternoon - without success. I have not 
encountered them at Oxley common and was wondering if you have an exact 
location so I can have a look this afternoon.
