Hi all,

I occasionally travel to Medan, Indonesia.

Last time I was there (March 2006), I headed out to the Bukit Lawang area
(where they re introduce the Orangutan’s) with great enthusiasm and
expectation as the National Park boast some 300 species of bird to be found
there. Unfortunately I saw a total of 4. This included the Euro Tree
Sparrow! As you could imagine I was a little disappointed.

Does any one know of good spots to bird around that area that are worth
visiting?

Cheers

Steve Potter
