The Werribee Wagtails (25) went to the You Yangs today. Apart from finding
the whole area is drying out rapidly we were treated to a feast of birds. We
went to the Seed or Bird Garden area, Big-Rock and around to the Drysdale Rd
Entrance. The weather was perfect and birds were very accessible.
Here is our list.
Australian Wood Duck
White Faced Heron
Shining Bronze Cuckoo
Superb Fairy wren
Red wattle bird
White plumed honeyeater
New Holland Honeyeater
Eastern yellow robin
Grey Shrike Thrush
We surprised to see Rainbow Bee-eaters so early in the season.
