Hi All, after seeing some photos of this bird I agree with Mike Carter this 
bird has the features of a American Golden Plover.
Bill and tibia are the correct length,the length of  primaries projecting past 
tail tip , primaries projecting past tip of tertials and the tertial tip ends 
well inside the basal half of the tail.
 In the four photos I have seen the number of tertials and the number of 
primary tips showing are not clear. Are there any photos showing these features 
clearly.
