Livingstone State Forest is worth a look and is on the road to
Holbrook, from memory about 30 - 45 minutes drive from Wagga. I saw
Speckled Warbler here as well as numerous other woodland species.
In town the sewerage ponds at the far north of the town ( beyond but
not over the old north wagga bridge) can be good for waterbirds - Ive
seen Musk Duck and numerous other ducks, herons etc here in the past,
though some years now since Ive been there.
The golf course at Lake Albert ( just out of town) should also turn
up few species. Ive seen Southern Whiteface, Honeyeaters etc here.

Hi Everyone,
I have to go to Wagga Wagga for work for a week and was wondering if
anyone would have some suggestions to go birding in and around town. I
searched Birding-Aus archive but found only other RFI's and no
answers. I probably won't have much time but what are the key species
and were shopuld I look for them?
Thansk in advance.
Cheers,
