Hi all,
As it sounds like people have been struggling to see Ground
Cuckoo-Shrike in the Lockyer Valley, I thought I'd post details of my
sightings from this morning (5 Aug).
I had 3 birds between Lake Clarendon and Balaamhill on Main Green
Swamp Road, in the paddock opposite Lot 16 . They spent most of their
time in the big paddock (east side of road) but flew across the road
when disturbed, into 'Lot 16' (west side of road). If you get to
property number 50 and 52, you're too far north. I also had a pair of
Red-tailed Black Cockatoos at the junction of Haslingden Road and
Jimba Road (sign posted 'Pony Club'). These might be the same birds
seen by Tom Tarrent on 30 July.
Good birding,
Graham
