Hi Steve,
You must have missed the 'Pale-headed Rosella in NSW whilst looking for
Grey-headed Lapwing' issue. It was discussed at some length on Birding-Aus
about a fortnight ago,
Have a look at:

As Sandra and Ivan Reynolds have reported, Karen Roderick and myself
were there to see the Lapwing on Tuesday, I 'was' worried about being
the first 'dipper', driving from Newcastle and back in a day. The
Lapwing seemed unconcerned about the growth, it was walking around
feeding, with only a limp due to the growth. I wonder if the bird, if
it decides to head back home, will be able to fly such a great
distance with the weight on its leg, even with many stops it would
take its toll.Has there been any suggestions to remove the growth? We
also saw a pair of Black Falcons about 5kms out of Burren Junction
toward Wee Waa, one falcon was feeding on a cockatiel on the wing,
while being hassled by the other. We also saw a Pale-headed Rosella at
Wee Waa, surely this is out of range?
