Greetings Birding-Aus,
Its now just 3.5 weeks until I head your way and I can't wait. I have
spent the last few days trying to come up with a very rough itinerary for my
year of travel and photography. Below I have included a very rough outline of
my plan and would really hope for some input from those with more experience.
I would consider myself a general naturalist with an intense interest in birds.
I am interested in most natural history type things and am sort of using birds
as an excuse to travel everywhere. That being said, the below schedule is an
attempt to get the most out of my year and experience as much as I can. Any
thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated, both about birds and other
natural history events I may miss as well as other events that I may not miss
but may not know about (assume I don't know about it as I am very new to all
this). Thanks so much and I look forward to putting many of the names on this
list with faces.

28 July 2006 - Arrive in Sydney
15 August - 30 August - NSW winter specialties (displaying lyrebirds, etc)
1 September - 15 November - Queensland with 2 week trip to Cape York during
first two weeks of October
15 November- 15 December - NSW
15 December - 1 January - Victoria
1 January - 21 January - Tasmania
21 January - 21 February - South Australia
21 February - 21 March - Southern Western Australia
21 Marsh - 15 April- Central Western Australia
15 April - 15 May - Kimberelys/ Broom/ Northern Western Australia
15 May - 7 June - Northern Territory/Darwin area
7 June - 21 June - Alice Springs/Uluru region
1 July - 7 July - Canning Stock Route (email me off list if you have done this
please and willing to share thoughts)
10 August - Return to Sydney to head back to the USA
