http://www.platypus.asn.au/ is the place to go for reporting sightings

Hi all,

Two months ago we moved from Cooranbong to a small property on the Myall
River near Bulahdelah (NSW). This morning, while clearing some Lantana
from
the rainforest strip near the river, I saw some ripples in the water which
closer examination showed to be caused by a Platypus. Is there any NSW
site
that accepts records of things like this?

In an attempt to restore some semblance of being on-topic, I can report
that, on the way back to the house to tell my wife about the Platypus, I
found a dead Owlet-Nightjar lying on the ground in the open paddock.

Cheers
Paul Osborn
