Hi all This afternoon, as I was pruning some fruit trees in the winter sun, I heard a call that I hear on most of my Gluepot trips, but never at home. It was a Gilbert's Whistler, and it kept singing for most of the afternoon. About half of our home block of 5 ha is covered in mallee, and so are the neaby roadsides. It's a well-known fact that these whistlers disperse during winter, but I'm quietly hoping it will stick around for the breeding season!
