With the cold change (-2 to -4 wind-chill) I have found 10 dead starlings so
far laying in the yard. Snow in Oberon and sleet in Orange NSW (both around
a 1000 Metres) yesterday. All have no signs of be caught by cats. Seem like
the cold snap has been to quick for them. Have to take a couple to the Dept
of Ag and get them checked out just in case. Even though they are starlings,
I don't like to see any living creature suffer.
