Hi Tim,

Thanks for your mail below. Can you please elaborate?

For us naive southerners:

How accessible is Jumpinpin bar? Do you fly to the Gold Coast, hire a car, drive up to North Straddie, take the car ferry and drive down to see this bird? Is there an easier way?

Is this place only accessible by boat?

Do you also know if you need a scope? Or is it within bino reach?

Does anyone have photos of it?

Is anyone expected to go down there to see if it is still around tomorrow?

Could it be lured in with a few chips?

;-)

Just kidding on the last one! :-)

Any other details would be appreciated before we run off and book flights.

Cheers,

Inger

I have just received notification that there is a full adult Franklin's Gull
near Jumpinpin bar in full
breeding plumage. Jumpinpin bar divided the two Stradbroke Islands.
