  Hi All,
Richard Baxter reports from Christmas Island that there is a Common
Kingfisher in the cove nearest the Casino. He has been on the island
for the past four days and they have seen the bird on all days except
today. If I recall correctly this is the second record for the island
  and Australia.

He was also the finder of the Chinese Pond Heron on Cocos (or was at
least in the group that found it) and reports the bird was in almost
full breeding plumage at the time of their sighting.

  Regards,

  Rohan Clarke
