G'day birders

I have seen any good numbers of waders at the Royal NP in the past but have a
number of sightings of individuals and small gatherings.

I have had some Bar-tailed Godwit, Eastern Curlew and Red-capped Plover on the
sand bars around Maianbar and in Bonnie Vale around the sand/mud flats and
mangroves, which is probably your best bet right now. I've heard of
Double-banded Plover sightings in this area too. Barwits and curlews might be a
little thin on the ground (mud/sand) right now with the migration all but done.
However, you may get a few "over-winterers" and juves hanging around. Red-caps
and DB plovers might be on the cards at Bonnie Vale at the moment.

Not much to go on I'm afraid but you never know your luck when searching for
creatures with wings.

Happy birding
