Following on from my post of a couple of days ago, thanks to those who made suggestions. I returned the next day and got a few photos. The first one:

m("ihug.com.au/images/GT-Tattler.jpg","//homepages.ihug.com.au/~chrisx2");">http: <m("ihug.com.au/images/GT-Tattler.jpg","//homepages.ihug.com.au/%7Echrisx2");">http:>

Seems quite clearly a grey tailed tattler, based on the long eyebrow the second photo:

m("ihug.com.au/images/GT-Tattler2.jpg","//homepages.ihug.com.au/~chrisx2");">http: <m("ihug.com.au/images/GT-Tattler2.jpg","//homepages.ihug.com.au/%7Echrisx2");">http:>

appears to have much less white behind the eye and a rather indistinct supercilium, and bears some resemblance to the representation in HANZAB of the wandering tattler, though doesn't look too much like the photos posted on ABID. Appreciate your opinions on these birds.

regards,

Chris Ross
