There seems to be a lot of hysteria over wind farms at the moment. 
Unfortunatly there still are a much larger number of deaths caused by 
plastic ingestion, plastic milk bottle ring strangulation, fishing 
line/string/twine stranulation/amputation and indiscriminate use pesticides 
and not forgetting the road and glass window kills.
A group of us kept an eye on a wind farm on the shores of Carcoar Dam (about 
60K's South of Orange.Over a three month period from the commisioning of the 
turbines with three dead birds found.all in the first month.
Located on Carcoar Dam, south of Orange NSW, Blayney Wind Farm is one of the 
largest in New South Wales. The wind farm consists of 15 turbines. Each of 
these is 45 meters high with a rotor diameter exceeding 45 meters. The 
capacity of each turbine is 660kW and the total generation of the farm is 
9.9MW.
