You are right Geoff,
                              Much of the argument against windfarms is
aesthetic, but in some situations birdkill is very significant, vide Roy
Sonnenberg's note on Griffon Vultures in Spain. A Spanish company is moving
heavily into developing Australian windfarms, may be behind the Victorian
project.
                                I suspect that the real agenda behind this
thread is about the almost certain introduction of nuclear powerstations at
some stage, windfarms being a somewhat desperate delaying tactic.
