David,As an avid birdwatcher for 55 year believe me when I say that Slaters Field Guide is the best Field Guide. That is because, it is the smallest one, the lightest, soft covered and easy to carry and so check out the details of the bird you are watching on the spot! The bird indicated as "immature" in Slaters matches the bird in your photograph. Alan Morris |
