Hi,

I heard a radio interview last week where the mayor of Western Tasmania was
spruiking the marvellous sport of the traditional shearwater slaughter.  He
equated this horrifying activity to any other sport. He was given a very
easy ride by the radio host.
Does anyone have any facts on this?
