 Hi all, 
  
Came back from a stay in Jindabyne 
from 19/3/06 to the 24/3/06. 
  
Weather was fine but the area is currently quite
dry and there is a present outburst of locusts in the region. 
  
Went Birdwatching everyday on the Golfcourse on the
Sport & Recreation centre grounds. 
 Saw the following species (not in taxonomic
order):- 
  
Dusky Woodswallow good numbers
throughout the week 
Magpie seen everyday 
Little Raven seen in small
flocks 
Crimson Rosella Many young
birds with Green plumage 
Pipit-seen in good
numbers 
Silvereye 
Restless Flycatcher 
Diamond Firetail a small flock
seen on to seperate days 
Willie Wagtail 
White-eared Honeyeater induvidual
birds seen on three occassions 
Yellow-rumped Thornbill small
flocks 
Grey Fantail by the
creek 
Red-browed Firetail by the
creek 
Superb Fairywren by the
creek 
Pied Currawong small numbers
flying through 
Redrumped Parrot 
Yellow Faced Honeyeater
goodnumbers feeding on the freshly blooming snowgums 
Rufous Whistler 
Stubble Quail flushed from long
grass on hillside overlooking lake 
White-faced Heron flew 
over 
Brown Treecreeper one seen on
three occassions 
Little Eagle Pale morph perching
in large eucalypt.

Walked up Mt Kosciuszko from Thredbo Villiage on
the 21st and saw the following species:- 
White-browed Scrubwren by thredbo
reiver 
Coot Thredbo River 
Little Raven Flock of over 300 on
the summit of Mt Kosciuszko,  flying in almost
complete uniform. 
Pipit Huge flock of over 100 on
Summit 
Wooduck Thredbo River 
Emu x3 in the NP
