A second Grey Nightjar in Australia

Neil Cheshire has passed on to me a photograph of another Grey Nightjar in
Australia. Like the first, which was at Ashmore Reef on 25/26 December 1993,
this too was sitting on the stern of a stationary ship and like that bird,
was photographed by someone with only a passing interest in birds. The
photographer was Fiona Perry who was aboard the Southern Supporter at the
Jabiru oil production vessel, 26.8 km within the Australian EEZ in the Timor
Sea on 23 August 2005. The first report has been accepted by BARC and this
one will be scrutinized by the same body.
