The dawn Chorus

I was awake for the Dawn Chorus for the first time in a while, so had a good listen. Just checking, is the main purpose for the birds to say "I'm here, and I'm alive, did anyone else live through the night? And where are you?". It's interesting hearing the calls that match get closer and closer together. You can actually do that with some of the invertebrates here as well. Not a very interesting chorus here, Noisy Miner, Indian Mynah, Grey Butcherbird, a couple of Laughing Kooka's and the odd Noisy Friarbird today
