There were a couple of Helmeted Guinea Fowl feeding on the cut grass behind the Samsonvale Cemetery [SEQ] yesterday. I know that HGF are often in free range situations, and as far as I know, the cemetery is a fair way [as the HGF walks] from any settlements. I was wondering whether this pair were day-release fowl or whether they had permanently flown the coop. Are HGF breeding "in the wild" these days, and does anyone know how far HGF range from their home roosts?

Regards, Laurie.
