Hi All, there is plenty of action here in the
Hawkesbury at the moment with Bushells Lagoon having over 400 Sharptailed
Sandpipers plus a few 100 other water birds. We flushed 6 King quail plus
Red-chested and the other common ones at Culpits lane paddock Richmond. There
was a male Satin Flycatcher at Scheyville on Wednesday most unusual probably a
early returning one. Two Speckled Warblers at Castlereagh Nature reserve was
also unusual, rarely recorded at this site and the Square -tailed Kite
appears to be is back from where ever its been seen it 3 times this
month already. At McGraths Hill treatment works which is
still out of bounds to the puplic, there was a Wood Sandpiper feeding in
the eastern end of the pond nearest to the main road.
