99% sure Channel billed Cuckoo

Hi, While in the Royal National Park,walking along Lady Carrington Drive( audley end ) , I came around a bend in the track and disturbed a large grey bird feeding in a fruiting tree by the side of the track. I only saw its back with a black band close to its tail and the stand out thing for me its very pointed wings in flight, what are everyones thoughts, I'm 99% sure it was a Channel billed Cuckoo, but I've never seen one before
