HANZAB has 8 references saying that adults will feed juveniles (stating that it may be deliberate or advantitious). I have personally seen it twice at Griffith, and both times it was the constant begging call that caught my attention and I suspected the cuckoo was attracted the same way.
Cheers,
Peter

One example of bird behaviour I witnessed which I found very interesting
was an adult Pallid Cuckoo feeding a squawking juvenile Pallid Cuckoo.
The juvenile was not in a nest and was flying to the adult on command
when it had caught its latest feed.

As they are parasitic, I found this behaviour very interesting. Has
anyone else witnessed similar?

Cheers,

Andrew.
