'Hotspots'

Speaking of 'Hotspots' for birds, the NSW North Coast birders have their
own claim to their area being a hotspot.

In the Big Scrub remnants alone, an area of around 550 hectares (with the
largest being the former Big Scrub Flora Reserve (180ha), now Nightcap NP),
supports over 200 birds.  That is just rainforest/terrestrial birds.  Throw
in other types and the list is very substantial.
