Greetings,

At Hasties Swamp today the following species were present along with theusual suspects.

Sanderling 1
Little Egret 2
Pink-eared Duck 2
Glossy Ibis 1
Latham's Snipe 2
Dollarbird 4

I was very surprised by the Sanderling. That ID was the first impression ofmyself, a guest from the USA and supported by another birder who knows themwell. A muddy freshwater shore is not where I would expect to see this bird.Nor would I expect a single animal.
