We have lots of Spotted Bowerbirds here at Bowra and have a nice bower just outside our back fence which is now full of beautiful things, out of the work shed, rubbish dump and garden. The seeds from the Canary Island Date Palm are a favourite. This morning when I discovered that all the green Tommy Toe tomatoes, about the size of a marble, gone from bushes growing in large pots outside my back door, Ian suggested I look at the bower, and sure enough about 30 of them are adorning the bower.
Straight into town to get a photo of a Brown Goshawk {thanks Nevil} blown up and laminated to hang on the netting, hopefully this will stop the tomato thief from any more raids. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Regards,
Julie
