Yesterday Grev and Margaret Reidy and I visited Pitt Town and Bushells
Lagoons in the Hawkesbury area west of Sydney. On the way there on
Anangrove Road not far from Bluegum Road we spotted a large dead bird on
the road. We stopped and looked and found it to be an adult Powerful
Owl. Unfortunately it was badly pulped. A sad sight. It seemed fresh,
probably killed on Sunday night. We thought it too much of a mess to
submit it to the museum.

Otherwise we had an enjoyable morning seeing some but not all of what
Edwin Vella saw at the same venues.
