Hi all
I spent a full day at Birds Australia Gluepot Reserve ('Gluepot')
yesterday - from first light to dark, with 3 overseas birders. Non-stop
birding apart from a 20 mins break in one of a bird hides at one of the
watering throughs made for a tiring but rewarding day. We ended up with a
list of 60 species, and almost all of the specialties. Excellent views of a
male singing Red-lored Whistler, as well as 2 Gilberts Whistler; 3 Miners of
which 2 were Black-eareds; 2 Shy Heathwrens; 10 species of Honeyeater
including Striped; a Southern Scrub-robin, quite a few Chestnut
Quail-thrushes; Striated Grasswren heard in a number of spots and excellent
views of one pair; a pair of White-browed Treecreepers; and strangely enough
a Sharp-tailed Sandpiper.
Also found a Freckled Duck today at the lagoon near Waikerie.

Check my website below for Gluepot & other SA info.
