Near Catherine Hill Bay today

A Little Eagle

A sad story
There was a magpie nest at the top of a Norfolk Pine and the young were
being fed. Being down near the beach the maggies had brought in all sorts of
stuff for nest making including tangled fishing line and bits of twine. A
lot of this material had been discarded and was caught up in the branches.
Another maggie had got snared and strangled by a bit of light rope and was
swinging by the neck (dead) in the breeze.
