Hi,
I went out to Lake Bathurst (near Canberra) on Saturday. It was the first time I had seen it with any water in it. I stayed on the road on the eastern side and used a scope but the high winds made it difficult (does anyone know of a spot closer to the water that you can get to without trespassing?). I saw Black Swans (100+), Masked Lapwings and possibly Black-winged Stilts. There were also about 20 black swan nests.
Nick
