Volunteers needed for painted honeyeater research project.

I am studying painted honeyeaters for my PhD in east NSW where I my study is centred on a population of about 50 breeding pairs.  I need volunteers from mid-November to Jan (or parts thereof – minimum 2 weeks) to help with finding nests, nest watches, radio tracking, and banding.  Camp style food provided.  BYO tent etc.  The study area is diverse in bird species and spare time will be rewarding for bird watching.

The study area is not physically taxing although it does get hot.  This would suit people with prior experience as a volunteer or those with some practical field skills.

Please e-mail me at with a summary of your experience.

Thanks,
