My wife and I were travelling across the Nullarbor on the Indian Pacific train on Friday last week and saw over 70 Wedge-tailed Eagles between the SA/WA border and the end of the Nullarbor, on the way to Kalgoorlie. The largest group seen consisted of at least 19 birds. These were the ones that we managed to count from the speeding train and there were probably more in that group.
