Hi all,

We spent the past weekend at Capertee Valley too. My son Kelden and I recorded the following on Saturday/Sunday:

Bogee area (including Brymair property): Crested Pigeon, Australian Magpie, Magpie Lark, Eurasian Starling, Laughing Kookaburra, Buff-rumped Thornbill, Yellow-rumped Thornbill, Brown Treecreeper, Double-bar Finch, Wedge-tailed Eagle, Sulphur-crested Cockatoo, Willie Wagtail, Welcome Swallow, Eastern Rosella, White-winged Chough.

Port Macquarie road turnoff (on Rylstone-Glen Alice road) - 7-9am both days: Australian Magpie, Pied Butcherbird, White-plumed Honeyeater (numerous), Regent Honeyeater (numerous), Noisy Miner, Grey-Shrike-thrush, Jacky Winter, Galah, Red-rumped Parrot, Little Lorikeet, Red Wattlebird, Australian Raven, Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike, Brown Treecreeper, Turquoise Parrot, White-winged Chough, Pied Currawong, Wood Duck, Grey-crowned Babbler, White-browed Babbler, Restless Flycatcher, White-throated Treecreeper, Crested Shrike-Tit, Pacific Black Duck, King Parrot, Double-bar Finch, Superb Fairy-wren, Peaceful Dove, Wedge-tailed Eagle, Eastern Rosella, Common Bronzewing, Crested Pigeon, Yellow-faced Honeyeater, Rainbow Lorikeet, Musk Lorikeet, Little Friarbird, Grey Teal. A highlight at this location was seeing three Regent Honeyeaters mob and drive off the Crested Shrike-Tit - are they usually this aggressive? And there were Little, Musk and Rainbow Lorikeets feeding in the one White Box clump of blossom.

Glenowlan Road area (esp near bridge) about 12 noon Sat, and 10am Sun: Masked Lapwing, Regent Honeyeater, Mistletoebird, Grey Shrike-thrush, White-plumed Honeyeater, Yellow-faced Honeyeater, White-winged Chough, Little Lorikeet, Jacky Winter, Brown Treecreeper, Welcome Swallow, Peaceful Dove, White-browed Babbler, Eastern Yellow Robin, Galah, Australian Magpie, Red-rumped Parrot, Restless Flycatcher, Superb Fairy-wren, King Parrot, Laughing Kookaburra, Pied Currawong, Grey-crowned Babbler, Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike, Pacific Black Duck, Wood Duck, Willie Wagtail.

Glen Alice area: Sulphur-crested Cockatoo, Australian Raven, Black-shouldered Kite, Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike, Gray Teal, Masked Lapwing, Wood Duck, Eurasian Starling

Junction of Glen Davis road with Capertee road area: Nankeen Kestrel, Laughing Kookaburra; also Goshawk sp. (not identified)

Glen Davis (mostly at campground): Brown Treecreeper (feeding on ground, including cadged crusts from picnic); White-throated Treecreeper, White-plumed Honeyeater

Coco Creek bridge (on Capertee road) about 4pm: Brown Treecreeper, White-throated Treecreeper, White-plumed Honeyeater, Willie Wagtail, Noisy Friarbird, Crested Shrike-Tit, Dusky Woodswallow

Unfortunately could not confirm Swift Parrot - suspected at Port Macquaire rd junction, but not seen. And no sign of Plum-headed Finches.

Good birding!
