There have been a couple of cancellations for the upcoming pelagic seabird trip from Hillarys. The trip leaves from the Hillarys Boat Harbour at 7am sharp returning about 3:30pm. The expected cost is $70. Contact me if you are interested.

We will see Yellow-nosed Albatross, Great-winged Petrel, Soft-plumaged Petrel, Great Skua, Australasian Gannet. We will see either Wilson's Storm-Petrel or White-faced Storm-Petrel or possibly both. We should see Shy Albatross, Black-browed Albatross and Cape Petrel. We have good chances of seeing Southern Giant-Petrel. We might see early returns of Wedge-tailed Shearwater, Flesh-footed Shearwater and Hutton's Shearwater. We might be lucky and see Kerguelen Petrel, Northern Giant-Petrel and one or more prion sp. (Slender-billed is the most likely). We have seen Sooty Shearwater, South Polar Skua and Arctic Tern on one trip each at this time of year. Little Shearwater is a slight chance.

We have also seen Humpback Whale, Dwarf Minke Whale and several species of dolphins on occasion at this time of year.
