Hi all,

For any visitor to Perth wishing to see Glossy Ibis, Herdsman Lake (Floreat Waters and Maurice Hamer parts) is probably the best place. Last week there was a flock of 60 including some in breeding plumage. What was interesting were numerous ibis sunning themselves in the mid day sun. The birds would twist and conform their wings into unusual positions, probably to ensure the max. exposure to the sun. I have never seen any of the three  ibis species sunning before and I was wondering if this behaviour is confined to the Glossy?
