While it is now quite passé to the local Sale bird watchers the fact that the number of Freckled ducks currently on Lake Guyatt  has risen to between 400 and 500 is quite extraordinary and that within 50 metres one can also observe a pair of nesting azure kingfishers makes a 2 ½ hour drive from Melbourne well worthwhile
