Susan,How about the Southern Highlands of NSW - plenty of accom and wine to be had. Birding in Barren Ground (on road to Jamberoo from Robertson)and a quick peep at Cecil Hoskins reserve, near Moss Vale. In summer, back via Windang at entrance to Lake Illawarra, and even Royal National Park. Regards, Peter Madvig PS. 3 and a half hours could get you to Canberra and surrounds. |
