The observations of bird decline in my previous
message are anecdotal from myself, other Landcarers (I
am a Landcare Convenor) and people involved with this
issue. But they are no surprise to people at the
CSIRO who work closely with local control authorities
on this issue.
I am after any hard data on this subject.
That is affects of European wasp populations on bird
numbers and diversity.
I will use this information with local managers in the
ACT and to help raise awareness of the issue.
