Hi birders
Working on a small farm near Echuca (about 1km along the
Echuca-Serpentine Road from the Murray Valley Hwy) yesterday, found a
lone Letter-winged Kite being harrassed by a pair of Black-shouldered
Kites. It repeatedly went to roost in the foliage near the top of a
large River Red Gum, and was repeatedly mobbed into flight again by its
relatives. Eventually they left it alone for a while and it stayed
concealed in the canopy of the RRG until after I moved on.
Otherwise not too much going on there - the odd Black & Whistling Kites,
Barn Owls (at night) ....
