Many thanks AndrewYou may well be right about "Quakers" - although we should be aware that, as with environmental weeds, common or even scientific names can be deceptive. You didn't mention the Eurasian Collared Dove. Don't you agree about that species? I don't want to stop importation of harmless birds or plants but there are so few of us trying to stop the nonsense which has gone on for 150 years with continuing applications to import (and many undeclared imports) noxious genetic material. Did you know there was a UKL 10 fine for killing sparrows back then (about as much for killing a Regent Honeyeater now)! Michael Norris |
