Hi Tim,
The first two shots you named as Kestrels. Only the second photo is a Kestrel, the first one is an immature Black-shouldered Kite. Your ID of Whistling Kite is correct and the small bird you are unsure of is a Richard's Pipit. Your ID of the Straited Thornbill is correct too.
